【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandarddefinesthegeneralprinciplesfortheapplicationoftheTime-Of-FlightDiffraction(TOFD)techniqueforbothdetectionandsizingofdiscontinuitiesinlowalloyedcarbonsteelcomponents.Itcouldalsobeusedforothertypesofmaterials,providedtheapplicationoftheTOFDtechniqueisperformedwithnecessaryconsiderationofgeometry,acousticalpropertiesofthematerialsandthesensitivityoftheexamination.Althoughitisapplicable,ingeneralterms,todiscontinuitiesinmaterialsandapplicationscoveredbyEN583-1,itcontainsreferencestotheapplicationonwelds.Thisapproachhasbeenchosenforreasonsofclarityastotheultrasonicprobepositionsanddirectionsofscanning.Unlessotherwisespecifiedinthereferencingdocuments,theminimumrequirementsofthisstandardareapplicable.Unlessexplicitlystatedotherwise,thisstandardisapplicabletothefollowingproductclassesasdefinedinEN583-2:--class1,withoutrestrictions;--classes2and3,restrictionswillapplyasstatedinClause9.Theinspectionofproductsofclasses4and5willrequirespecialprocedures.TheseareaddressedinClause9aswell.ThetechniquestouseTOFDforweldinspectionaredescribedinCEN/TS14751.TherelatedacceptancecriteriaaregiveninprEN15617.
