【摘要】:Thesetestmethodsareusedtodeterminetraceamountsofvolatilechloridesinbutane-butenemixtures.Suchinformationisvaluableincaseswherechlorideisdeleteriousintheuseofthisproduct;also,chloridecontributestocorrosionproblemsinprocessingunitsininstanceswherefurtherprocessingofthismaterialisinvolved.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthedeterminationofthetotalvolatileorganicchloridesinconcentrationsfrom10to100ppminbutane-butenemixtures.Theamperometricfinishisnotdirectlyapplicableinthepresenceofothersubstancesthatcombinewithsilverionoroxidizechlorideionindiluteacidsolution.Bromides,sulfides,ammonia,tobaccosmoke,andmorethan25181gofhydrogenperoxideinthetestsolutioninterfereinthespectrophotometricprocedure.1.2Dissolvedsodiumchlorideisnotquantitativelydeterminedusingthesetestmethods.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificwarningstatementsaregiveninSections5,8,11,14,19,andAnnexA1.
